Of interest to many SMPTE members is a presentation offered by the Audio Engineering Society Student Section at the University of Michigan. Here are the details:
On Tuesday, September 15th, Gik Acoustics will be holding a seminar that will deliver key insights into modern recording and mastering techniques as well as dispel popular myths surrounding these processes. Glenn Kuras, owner and president, will be conducting the presentation.
Whether you have a home theater, a listening room, a home recording studio, or a professional studio, every room’s acoustic issues must be treated. There are many variables that make a room unique — windows, columns, cathedral ceilings, doors, fireplaces —  this presentation will give insight on how to address these acoustic issues as well as how to set up a room correctly.
