Network Device Interface (NDI) is a royalty-free software standard developed by NewTek to enable video-compatible products to communicate, deliver, and receive high-definition video over a computer network in a high-quality, low-latency manner that is frame-accurate and suitable for switching in a live production environment. Will Waters of NewTek will present a short history of the development of the NDI standard, where it currently lives in the commercial broadcast ecosystem, and where NewTek sees it going forward. We hope to offer a wide view of the dream and practical realities of NDI. (Due to prior commitments, Grant Guston of AVI Systems will be unable to join us.)
