SUBJECT:   Stereoscopic 3D: The Next Big Thing

Stereoscopic 3D for film and video is becoming a hot topic in our industry. 3D has the ability to put a viewer right in the middle of the action, more realistically than ever before. The ability to capture, post and project 3D imaging in the digital domain have removed many of the complexities of this process that have existed in the past. Quantel's new Stereoscopic 3D technologies will be featured in this presentation. Gone are the red/blue glasses, and gone are the sometimes dizzying and headache-producing artifacts of older 3D processes. We'll get a practical look at the nuts and bolts of the 3D process for video, including "Sid," a dedicated stereoscopic post production product, and how stunning results on screen can be achieved.

An informative White Paper on the subject by Mark Horton at http://www.quantel.com/site/en.nsf/HTML/LSOV-75GAK6?OpenDocument.

Managers' Dinner will be at 5:30 PM at Antonio's Cucina Italiana, 37646 W. 12 Mile (at Halsted Rd.), Farmington Hills, Mich. (248) 994-4000. (Map) All are welcome to join us.
