The election for officers of the Detroit Section is now underway. To be elected are the Chair, Secretary-Treasurer and three Managers. Members who are assigned to the Detroit Section will be receiving an e-mail with instructions on how to vote. If a member doesn’t have an e-mail address on file, or has opted-out of online voting, they will receive a ballot by postal mail. If you don’t receive either an e-mail or a letter in the next few days, check the status of your membership on the SMPTE website.
There are prizes for voting as well. A drawing will be held for a complimentary virtual course, a year of membership, a merchandise pack and gift certificates to the SMPTE store.
Be sure to vote prior to the closing of the election period on April 26. Results are announced in May and those elected will take office on July 1.
