SMPTE is embarking on a revision of its governance documents to conform to the new requirements for 501(c)(3) corporations in the District of Columbia.  It involves replacing the existing Constitution and By-Laws with a new set of By-Laws, changes to the articles of incorporation and restructuring of the operation manuals for the Society. All members will be asked to vote on the changes at the general membership meeting on October 27 or by proxy. SMPTE will be conducting online web seminars for members to explain the changes.  Get full details on the SMPTE website (member login required) and be sure to send in your proxy if you are unable to attend the membership meeting.
